I having some questions about Dungeon Keeper 2 ? ( that game breaking bug that break you game that is fix or that is still a issue ?) my brother got the game at launch and he had some issues with the game. i'm thinking of getting it on steam and i'm just wondering that all.

I used to play this game so often! I havent played dk1 sadly so i cant say how that was. But i really loved the comedic style this game had. It was just the right amount of goofy and evil. I never had to feel bad for conquering the world. Cause it was all just fun

The thing I was curious about is if the "look through the minion's eyes feature was any improved from the first game. It was a great idea that really didn't work well in the first game - my opinion having played it many, many years after its release. Granted, I was already playing Quake, Half-Life, Mechwarrior 2, and a bunch of other games in the late 90s, so I remember the quality.

I came here because DK & DK2 are on sale on Steam for $2.00 each until Mar 31, 2024. A bunch of other EA classic games are also on deep sale right now.

Here's a tip: let go of the joystick to fly. Only tap to move. This is the secret to getting thru the flying levels. When you try to hold the sticks and fly as normal you slam into things. Calm down and let go......use the force. :)

I see what you and many others are saying about the game. However, I think you are judging too harsh, and gave up playing to quickly. I can beat the first disc in less than an hour? If I can get the second to work I'll continue to play, but I grew up in the 80s so when this game came out, as a star wars fan, it was unlike anything I had played before it. Think about the times. The live action in this games was never done before to this level and made the game a spectacul of star wars entertainment for fans, with a completely NEW story intertwined within the movies. No one thought the graphics were bad. THEY WERE THE BEST, when his game came out in my opinion. I mean the game was filmed using the same movie magic tech as ILM did in 77-84. Thats what makes this so special of a game. I in fact wish games had gone in this direction instead of what we are getting today. Live action filming just can't be beat by CGI I don't care what anyone says.

If Han Solo was a Jedi kind of reminds me of the last Jedi I played in a Tabletop RPG. He was a New Republic naval officer in addition to being a Jedi. Before that he was an anti-Imperial pirate, a rebel Privateer, and an Alliance naval officer. His usual on foot fighting style was a Heavy Blaster Pistol in one hand, a lightsaber in the other and a second lightsaber flying across the battlefield via the Force. Fun times.

DK 1 for me.

BO2 is guilty of absolutely everything, but I still kind of love it. 😂 The story's a mess, the character designs are downright insulting, but the world and level design is fantastic, even though it maybe belongs in a different game. It's *exactly* what I would expect of Kain's edgy teenage phase.

The amount of backtracking and unavoidable, grindy combat at the end pull the game down, but the good outweighs the bad. The shrine puzzles are so much fun, and the story is absolutely riveting. Thanks to the tighter pacing, SR2 has me on the edge of my seat no matter how many times I've played it.

I would have liked to hear the whole Jesus/Judas fight, but I think it's supposed to be a God/Lucifer parallel inspired by Paradise Lost. 😄 Raziel is the fallen angel who was betrayed by his god.

I could do the bunny section with only 5 bunnies, i think you werent moving forward by the path that the bunnies made.

For its time, the game was pretty fun. Most people consider it better than 1.

Controls are actually better than rebel assault 1.

The best Legacy of Kain game period. Absolutely amazing adventure. Man this review is about some hatred that you have towards this game and it's not about the game at all. I will have to dislike this video. Your 50 different baby voices confirms this. It seems this is only about critique and no constructive though or any appreciation for the beautiful world and amazing details. Not to mention the epic story, voice acting and how nit it all reviews it self. I am playing this in 2023 in 4K and it's breath taking. The longer I listen to your narrative in this video the more I want to slap you on the face man.

Soul Reaver 2 and Blood Omen 2 are my favorite games in the series, I loved Defiance as well, and what I remember about Soul Reaver 1 is that it was a jank game.

Wow, for me defiance has the worse gameplay after blood omen 2. THe best, soul revaer 1 for me, the freedom, the details and the environment interaction was so promising but got lost with the later games till finish with a static camera and only one weapon. I used to play defiance once in a while for the story but i cant anymore, too annoy and lineal gameplay

I thought the ending of defiance mostly wrapped up all existing story threads. The only thing left for kain to do was find a way to restore/replace the pillars and deal with the Elder God. But all timeline had been caught up to speed so the story could progress forward.

Still play this to this day. Remember folks, your dungeon is damp, Install central heating! 😎

I may have stumbled across this video 4yrs late, but I have to say that the Legacy Of Kain series is so rich in story telling that you can easily play these games out of order and be left with plenty of lore to work with! Amy Henig is a master writer and deserves so much credit and acknowledgement than is currently known about her! Soul Reaver 2 was my first game to play in the series. I knew going in to it that there was going to be references to the first game, but **** it! Let’s give it a try…. The opening scene I was glued! Hearing Simon Templeman’s voice caused my jaw to drop in shock remembering going to a friends house, walked in to see him play the end of Blood Omen 2: I was like, THAT’S THE SAME KAIN?!?!?! He sure af changed! I knew this game was going to be good! Hearing Raziel’s interaction with Kain immediately made me take sides with him because why would Kain do this? Raziel has clearly gone through hell 😂 Playing through the whole game, I was left with so much lore I understood what was going on - and was left anxious to ask my dad if we could go on a hunt for the other games because this was HUGE!!! I wanted to see the past! I wanted to see Kain’s rise to power - regardless of the graphics of the games ( I could use my own imagination to make up for the graphics 😂) I just wanted to see it all! That is the captivating writing by Amy Henig. The Legacy Of Kain series is such a tragic gem that is slowly being forgotten as the years pass. To think of all the characters, fictional locations; all of it for nothing in the end. Had it not been for greed, and whinny corporate babies saying who has rights to what and such, this series could have been as big as Halo, and Elder Scrolls. What a shame.

This game was truly my first introduction to the Legacy of Kain games. I loved it when I was a kid, although it was one of the only games I had on the Gamecube, so I played it a lot. When I tried Defiance on the Xbox, I fell in love with the story telling style, but never completed it, I got stuck on a level and never came back, (it didn't help the Xbox wasn't mine, and I didn't have access to it often.) But my love for the narration in the games sparked my interest in writing, and many years later, I'm still writing my own stories. Legacy of Kain holds a special place in my heart, even if I never really played them. (One of my biggest regrets that I will hopefully, rectify soon enough.)
